A 2-inch suspension lift can give a first-generation Porsche Cayenne more ground clearance for trails, gravel roads, and overland travel. But lifting a Porsche Cayenne 955 or 957 is more than changing ride height. The shock absorbers, suspension travel, and front-end alignment all need to work together.
HPR lists a 2.5-inch nitrogen mono tube shock package for the Porsche Cayenne 955/957 (9PA), with 0- or 2-inch lift options. Depending on configuration, the shocks offer 8-step compression adjustment, or 8-step compression and 20-step rebound adjustment, with a remote reservoir. These adjustments let owners and suspension professionals tune damping for the vehicle’s load and driving conditions. The right setting depends on the complete setup, including tires, springs, cargo, and road surface.
A lift also changes front suspension geometry. The control arm and ball-joint angles move from their original positions, and the factory alignment range may not be sufficient. HPR’s adjustable front upper control arms are designed to help correct alignment geometry on lifted Cayennes. The product pages list applications for the 955 and 957 separately, so confirm your model before ordering.
After installation, have a qualified shop check alignment, suspension travel, brake hose clearance, and tire-to-body clearance. Confirm the correct shock configuration for your VIN, model year, and original suspension before purchase.
