Unlock Your Wrangler’s Beast Mode: Custom Shock Tuning Explained

The Jeep Wrangler JL’s stock suspension is a starting point—but true trail mastery requires custom tuning. HPR’s 2.5-inch adjustable shocks let you dial in rebound (how fast the wheel returns to the ground) and compression (how quickly it compresses). For rock crawling, set compression to 7/8 and rebound to 6/8 to limit axle drop and maintain tire grip on ledges. For desert runs, soften both to 4/8 for faster wheel movement over whoops, reducing jarring.

Our shocks feature a remote reservoir with a built-in thermal sensor, which automatically adjusts nitrogen pressure to prevent fade after 30+ minutes of hard driving. The billet aluminum body is 40% lighter than steel yet twice as strong, ideal for reducing unsprung weight. Pair with our Wrangler-specific stabilizer links to eliminate steering wobble. Not sure where to start? Use our online tuning calculator or visit a HPR dealer for a professional dyno session—your Wrangler will thank you on the next obstacle.Jeep Wranger JL JKS Stabilizer link adjustableJeep Wranger JL Nitrogen shocks
