The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser LC250 is a game-changer for off-roaders—but it needed a shock that could keep up. So we went back to the drawing board, and here’s how we created our LC250-specific 2.5/3.0-inch SHOX.
First, we studied the LC250’s suspension geometry. The new model has a slightly wider track than older Land Cruisers, so we adjusted our shock body length to avoid rubbing. We also tested 10 different valve shim combinations to find the perfect balance: 8-step compression adjustment for rocky trails, and 6-step rebound for smooth highway drives.
We didn’t skip durability, either. The LC250 is built for tough terrain, so our shocks use seamless steel bodies (internal & external polished) and Japan NOK seals.
